Pleasant Valley Band Boosters, Inc. is a non-profit organization with the sole purpose to provide support to the Pleasant Valley High School Band, its students and teachers. The Pleasant Valley Band Boosters fund raising efforts provide financial support to the band program at Pleasant Valley High School. The majority of our normal operating revenue comes from fund raising by working concessions at Jacksonville State University Football and Basketball events.
Outside of normal operating expenses, the Band Boosters are currently working on fund raising efforts for some special projects, which include:
- Purchase new uniforms for Marching Band/Concert Band
- Purchase new instruments to accommodate growth of band.
If you or your business would like to provide financial support for these special projects, please contact a band booster officer or use our contact form.
The Band Boosters typically meet on the first Monday of every month at 6:00pm at the Pleasant Valley High School Band Room. Check our calendar for meeting dates. All parents of band students, school faculty, and members of the community that wish to support the band are welcome to our meetings and to be involved in our organization.
We have recently completed fund raising efforts that have allowed us to purchase a new enclosed trailer for use in transporting instruments and equipment to away football games and band competitions.
We would like to thank the following for their donations that have made this possible:
- Calhoun County Commissioners Rudy Abbott and J.D. Hess
- State Representative K.L. Brown (40th District Calhoun County)
- J&R Synthetic Lubricants/Jerry Yarbrough
- Angela Urso
- Richard Ficklen
- Frank Miles Auto Sales
